30 kilometers of mostly public beaches presenting various morphologies, are waiting to be explored.
The sea offers great pleasure not only for fishing but also for boat trips and presents the recently opened National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago with its magnificent islands like Capraia, Gorgona and Elba.
In July and August the captain of «Bigadon» organises short trips only for hotel guests.
In order to completely enjoy your vacation we recommend the sailing center “Spot One" at approximately 2,5 Km, in locality the Gorette where you can rent sail boats, fast catamarans or to take lessons of Windsurf.

Within a few kilometers you will find different attractions for every age. Acquapark. water sports, tourist harbour, tennis and football, roller-skating, horse-riding, clay-pigeon shooting, bowl-games and a lot of other ways to spend a great vacation.
For the lovers of the vacation in the nature or in mountain bike, you will be recommended with landscaped routes next Bibbona, Bolgheri and Casale, Riparbella and in all our hills with panoramic sea view. If you prefer tours in mountain bike you can ask the head of sports.

From our hotel you will have an easy way to the secular pine-woods which are an important characteristic of our coast line.
Across the woods you will find walking and biking-trails, you will be able to relax and cool down from the summerheat in this unspoiled environment. Only a few kilometers away in Collemezzano, Bibbona, Bolgheri and Castagneto are other protected wood areas.
history
The whole area is full of archeological sites linked to activities held in the nearby Volterra (38 km) head-town of the Etruscans and afterwards important medieval village. Besides that the entire coast line shows interesting Roman sites. Cecina has an Etruscan-Roman museum placed in the Villa Guerrazzi, located in La Cinquantina.
Bolgheri is located on a little height at the end of the famous Cypresses Boulevard that stretches from San Guido. The village is surrounded by woods, plenty of Mediterranean vegetation and a well-tilled plain.
Bolgheri is linked to Castagneto, - its borough - through "Via Bolgherese", a wonderful boulevard become famous as the "Wine Road" for its production of rare wines. Through a mighty arch of a castle you will get into the old village. Indoors, among its ancient lanes and squares, little "shops" spring up.

The Etruscan Tirrenica coast is earth of great wines and typical specialties of the marine and peasant tradition.
Characteristic "trattoria" propose small typical plates of the tradition made up of fresh pasta, game, salami, vegetables and mushrooms. You can buy the products of this area in the “bottega” (traditional small shop) and in the agricultural companies: honey, firewood-cooked bread, different kind of chees and fruit.
Near the numerous wine cellars presents in the territory you can find and taste wine and oil of valuable quality.
